Pure Gas Testing

Trace Analytics, LLC provides analyses for pure gases used in a variety of industries. Pure gas testing helps manufacturers meet their purity requirements.

Contact the compressed air testing experts at Trace Analytics.

Testing can include gas purity by difference e.g. the pure gas concentration is determined to ± 0.3% absolute, then all other determined gases are subtracted from 100.00% to arrive at the reported value.
We provide Pure Gas Testing for the following gases:

  • Argon
  • Nitrogen
  • Nitrous Oxide
  • Oxygen

Impurity Testing – Inert Gases
Impurities such as oxygen, nitrogen, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, total volatile hydrocarbons, halogenated hydrocarbons, and water can be determined for the above pure gases. We can also provide analyses of particles, water, and oil for pure gas systems.

The following are gas specifications commonly used. We can also provide a custom specification based on your requirements.

Determining Moisture Content in Compressed Breathing Air Systems

Excess moisture in a compressed breathing air system can cause significant problems for our customers. The limit for water vapor in most specifications is all about preventing the freezing of the regulator in an SCBA. While water vapor doesn’t hurt the individual, not having air to b [...]

Microorganisms: what they look like and how to test for them

Microbial contamination can cause food spoilage, illness, and create huge problems for food, pharmaceutical, and medical device manufacturers. This contamination creates billions of dollars in yearly net loss across the globe. Microorganisms, or microbes, are organisms that are too s [...]

Meet OSHA Respiratory Protection Standards with Compressed Air Testing

Respiratory Protection has consistently been in the Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s (OSHA) annual top 10 most cited violations for at least the past decade. These violations could translate to adverse health effects, costly penalties, and time-consuming delays on day [...]
