Breathing Air Sampling Video

AirCheck Kit™ Model K901

Sampling is Easy

Here is a quick run through of how to take a sample for a typical Fire Department air compressor test. Taking your own sample is easy with our AirCheckAirCheck CheckmarkKit™ and our AirCheck Notebook with step by step instructions.

Air Sampling Steps in Detail

This video is to be used as an additional tool to work in conjunction with your AirCheck Notebook. This video should not replace following your AirCheck Notebook as steps are condensed. However, we hope that you do find this additional tool beneficial in showing you how to take an accurate air sample for compressed air quality testing.

The GC-MS Lab Equipment

The GC-MS system was upgraded to the latest industry standards in the Fall of 2009. The upgrade has proven to be beneficial with improved reliability, cross-platform compatibility (PC and Macintosh), improved hardware diagnostic capability, and ease-of-use.

The video shows the robotic features of the autosampler attached to the GC-MS. The autosampler allows us to process about 200 samples per day without the need for human interaction (after initial set-up). This automation provides for superior accuracy and precision. It also allows us to perform a wide variety of calibration standards (26 each morning) and 3 calibration standards every 10th sample throughout the entire run of samples. Although the "real" work is done inside the GC-MS, we thought you might enjoy seeing how the autosampler processes the source and ambient bottles for your compressed air analyses.
